EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill one position of Local Government Strategic Planner for R2R Resilient Islands, Resilient Communities existing at the Local Government Division. Interested applicants must meet the following criteria;
- Posses a university degree in Public Management, Governance, Environmental Management or other related field OR
- Possess a Form 7 Certificate with a 3 years work experience in the fields of governance, local governments, environmental management and related areas
- Must have a strong skill in written and oral both in English and Kiribati
- Must have good skills in using of Microsoft word, Publisher, Excel, Powerpoint
- Age must be between 25 – 55 years

Kiribati Outer Islands Resilience and adaptation project ( KOIRAP) Consultation
The Kiribati Outer Islands Resilience and Adaptation Project (KOIRAP) is to strengthen the capabilities of island councils for risk-informed land development planning, and resilient basic infrastructure and service delivery. This objective will be achieved through (1) expansion of basic infrastructure and services on outer islands which includes local government-community partnerships for water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) improvements, and local government investments for resilient infrastructure and services; (2) strengthening risk-informed spatial planning and asset management, and (3) project management and monitoring.
Based on the above, please find four attachments herein where you can provide your inputs and send them to us through our Executive Assistant at her email address – ea@internalaffairs.gov.ki – Your inputs are required as it will provide comprehensive information before the project takes off. We will also put these attachments in our Ministry’s website (below) for the information of other stakeholders not included in the list. We disclose these draft documents for comments and will hold consultation meetings afterward to seek feedback from relevant government agencies and civil society organisations.
The consultation meetings will be held this thursday 13th January 2022 at the MIA boardroom commencing from 9.30am. Please your attendance is required or send your reps.
